Resume’s Eduardo Yarto, CMP, CEM, CASE.
Mexican by birth. He has a Degree in Tourism Management and a Tourism and Development Postgraduate, both by the Anáhuac University.
He has 25 years’ experience in the tourism industry, of which the last 15 have been specialized in the meetings industry (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions). Also, he has three international certificates: “Certified Meetings Professional” awarded by the Convention Industry Council, highest authority worldwide in meetings industry, “Certified in Exhibition Management” awarded by the International Association of Exhibition and Events. In 2012 obtained the “Certified Association Sales Executives” by the Professional Convention Management Association.
He was Project Manager at E.J. Krause, Meetings and Conventions Director of Promotional Operation on Mexico City’s Tourism Ministry. He was Tourism and Meetings Director at the Mexico´s Ministry of Tourism. He is currently CEO at Mexico Experience, a company specialized on consulting meetings industry, representing destinations and tourism product development.
He has published several articles in print and electronic media such as the “Buen Viaje Magazine””, “MásExpos Magazine” on Turespacio.com website and Mexican newspapers like “El Financiero” and “El Economista”. In 2007 he published the book “Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions” (Turismo de Convenciones, Incentivos, Congresos y Exposiciones) with Trillas Publishing House. He has taught more than 30 specialized seminars in the meetings industry throughout Mexico, as well as some countries in Latin America.
He was Chairman of Mexico Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and is on the Advisory Board of the association. He is currently Training Vice President of the AMPROFEC (Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales de Ferias, Exposiciones y Convenciones) Association of companies specialized in exhibitions, conferences and conventions. And is a founding partner of Mexico Chapter of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) where he holds the position of Education Vice President.
He was on charge of the development of the Michoacán Convention Bureau, in addition to supporting the development of several Convention and Visitors Bureaus in Mexico and Central America. Eduardo Yarto created the events: Meetings and Tourism Mexico’s National Convention of the Mexico Ministry of Tourism, and the MPI Mexico Chapter Convention.
He implemented specific strategies for Michoacán Convention Bureau and the San Cristóbal Alliance, to make these institutions were honored with the Mexican Tourism Product Diversity Award, granted by the Mexico´s Ministry of Tourism, in 2009 the award was for the Michoacan Convention Bureau and in 2010 for the San Cristobal Alliance.
